Events across the UK and Spain

The Spainish Youth Congress just south of Madrid was nothing short of life changing. To feel the hunger and passion for God in those young people was almost overwhelming. I spoke on the Saturday evening main session on a huge outdoors stage to around 800 young people and we prayed for around half of them well into the night. Also with us was a guy called John Pritikin who is an American evangelist who bends metal bars and rolls up fry pans with his bare hands, what a great guy!

The links with the Assemblies of God denomination across Spain seem to be getting stronger and stronger. As a result of the youth congress Martin Stringer and I are flying down to Seville in a few weeks times to meet with leaders from across Southern Spain to discuss a major evangelistic event next summer. Getting the Mainstage down that far will be a huge logistical challenge but it’s nothing for God!

When I retuned from Spain I visited the Lark In The Park Festival in Sidcup, now in its 15th year and drawing 15,000 people over the two weeks. It’s a project I have been involved in helping to build from its humble beginnings with a gazebo and a small stage. It as very moving to be reunited with the Bandwagon, a mobile 350 seat arena we imported from Canada 10 years ago and now resides with the guys who run Lark In The Park in Sidcup and Ramsgate.
