We have just completed the Mobilestage events in Molesey and Gosport. The Molesey event is called Refresh In The Park and its another event I have been privileged to help build since the beginning back in the 1990’s. The event this year was a one-day festival framed around a huge football tournament that is a big feature of the event each year. Several hundred people came out and I was able to share the message of Jesus with them all from the stage.
The following day we were working with several churches in the Solent region with an event in Stokes Bay in Gosport. A very hot day brought the crowds out in their hundreds and again we were able to present the Gospel and saw several people respond.
Next week we take a team over to Normandy in the Mobilestage to work for a week on the tough Heutville estate in Normandy. Francis and Dianne Dognon who lead the church there have just purchased a coffee shop in the heart of the estate that we will be working from as we try and connect with that hurting community. The battle of Normandy rages on, albeit in a different way.
It’s only a couple of weeks before I go to Spain wit Martin Stringer to speak at the national youth congress of the Assemblies of God denomination that we have very strong links with now having been to Madrid several times. We are expecting 1,000 young people to gather. While I’m there Jono will lead the team for the event in Eastleigh that was such a success last year.
