Miracle Street crowds in the sun!

Such a brilliant weekend in the hot sun! In New Milton, Josh, Emma, Jimmy and I worked alongside the churches of the town as 2,000 people gathered on the green, brilliant time having loads of fun and mess with the kids and youth and lots of opportunities to talk about Jesus to the crowds who were really open to what we had to say.

On Sunday we rigged the Mainstage on Mayflower Park Southampton for the ‘Together In One Place’ Pentecost celebration alongside Alun Leppitt and the outstanding worship band from Bridge Christian Fellowship here in the city. A real partnership is emerging once again between Alun and me. We go back 25 years or so since the days of the Interface youth event that later morphed into Cutting Edge with Martin Smith and the band that became Delirious. We had several hundred people on Mayflower Park the majority of who were just hanging around the park that became part of the event. It reminded me of the feeding of the 5,000 in many ways. One lady who was prayed for in the Prayer Tent had not left her home for several months following the suicide of her son, it’s the reason we do all this.
