Mainstage Pentecost Southampton

This coming weekend we have two really key events. On Saturday we travel to New Milton in the New Forest to work alongside New Life Church to create their annual Family Funday event on the green in the centre of the town. Over the last two years we have seen crowds of over 2,000 at this event and we’re looking forward to taking the Mobilestage and a large team with us to press in with the church again for their community. On Sunday the Mainstage will be in Mayflower Park, Southampton for the “Together in One Place” Pentecost Family Celebration. Again we are hoping for big crowds as the churches of the city gather and we declare and demonstrate the love of God to the city. Mayflower Park is a very key location to story of The Liberation of Europe in 1944. It was a major embarkation point for the troops heading for Normandy. I’m told that almost every inch of Southampton Water in that area was covered with landing craft. It seems a very poignant moment for us as we look to all that God has in store for us in Normandy and ultimately the rest of France and on into Mainland Europe. It’s less than three weeks until the ‘Breakthrough Normandy’ 24 hour prayer expedition. 30 people are already booked in from the UK and we are linking up with a coach and a further 20 or so from France at the port in Caen. If you would like to come with us please email back as soon as you can as places are now limited and I’ll make sure all the information gets to you in time.
