£20,000 refit appeal success
It is will a great sense of relief and gratitude that we can confirm that we now have the £20,000 needed for the refit and refurbishment of our central resources that is so urgently needed. Thanks to all of you who gave so sacrificially to this appeal. We are now busy booking in woks and ordering the replacement stage canopy for the Mainstage. We are needing to look at creative ways to thread the work in between the events which begin next Monday with the Mainstage going to Watford. This will be the start of a very full schedule as part of Hope08. We are full of anticipation that God is going ahead of us to the many towns we are visiting. Some of you will know about ‘Turning Point’ our plan to take the Mainstage across Europe and into Africa from June 2009. This week I was in Paris with Gary Stupple to meet with Francis Dognon our key partner in France to discuss the launch in Normandy. We went to a couple of sites at the Eifel Tower and the Champs Elysee to look for potential locations for the Mainstage in the centre of Paris. Even in the last week it seems that the Lord has added several leaders in different parts of the world to the vision and we continue to feel our way forward with this. My heart burns with a sense of call to take the Gospel to the major cities of Europe and somehow release the Mainstage into the destiny for which it was constructed in 1998. We are about to launch a new high quality website that will be our central point of contact for the future. It will be more functional than the existing one and give us the flexibility to communicate with our growing support network with regular text and video bulletins. For this reason we have delayed the production of any further printed material until we know how it will integrate with the new site.
Please continue to pray and give to the work of Miracle Street as we look to make a difference for Jesus in the UK and beyond. These are exciting days! Steve Lee
