I came back from Lakeland, Florida a week or so ago and have been in the middle of something very special ever since. Most of you will have heard of reports of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit over the last two months that has gone round the world via God TV and the internet. I visited the meetings for a few days to see what God wanted me to receive. Since then I have prayed for several hundred people in various church meetings and leaders gatherings with many of them receiving a powerful impartation of the Spirit. Cleary I am not called to run dozens of meetings for Christians in churches but I want to respond to anything the Lord may be calling me to do to help impart evangelistic passion and fire to his people in these days. Many are saying this is the early stages of revival, something we all long for. The Mainstage and Mobilestage are both now back with us following the refit works and they look fantastic. With all that is going on I do wonder whether they have been refitted for revival!? Martin Smith wrote an endorsement for me a few years ago in which he said:“When church buildings are too small to contain this spiritual awakening, church will move to the streets. Miracle Street is the future in the present” Looking at the Mainstage parked up yesterday with its 20ft Miracle Street logo and then going to St Thomas’s Church in Fair Oak to speak and pray with the people it was vivid in my mind as there was standing room only in the building. We are still taking bookings for the summer and now top 30 towns in total that we will have visited by the end of the year with more likely to come in. It is by far the most ambitious schedule we have taken on. Please pray for me and the rest of the team as we commit ourselves and our resources to the coalface of mission at a time when God is clearly pouring out his Spirit in dynamic ways across the earth.
