Many towns, many events
We are now well into the swing of the most intensive season of the year for the Miracle Street team. There have been three very successful Parklife events that Jono has led in the New Forest, Princes Risborough and Chichester over the last three weeks. In each location we were able to connect with many people and help to further establish the local churches in their respective communities. Two weekends ago we held a Mainstage Festival on Portsmouth Guildhall Square alongside our friends at Kings Church. Unfortunately we lost the Sunday programme due to rain but the Saturday was brilliant. The team in Portsmouth were one of the biggest and most prepared we have ever experienced. They had already seen many people respond to the Gospel in the preparation week and a number more responded on the Saturday evening at the Mainstage. Please pray for the hundreds of people that have heard the message of Jesus in these four towns and for the churches there. Steve has just returned from Normandy where he was part of the Overlord Prayer Expedition with John and Yvonne Pressdee. Many of those we are working alongside in Normandy including the Dognon’s were part of this project to walk and pray for reconciliation, healing and spiritual breakthrough in a region of France that has been ravaged by war. We took part in a prayer launch on Pegasus Bridge, the scene of the first action on D-Day, with the chaplain of the 6th Airborne Division. We then visited many of the sites pivotal to the D-Day Landings during what was the week of the anniversary. We were able to connect with veterans and take part in some very moving events at the various sites. As is often the case it hard to quantify the impact of what has been achieved but we all sensed it was a time of significant bonding with one another and with the purposes of God. Back home, we have begun to deliver the national School Aid tour for World Vision reaching many schools to educate and raise awareness of the crippling effects of poverty among the young particularly in Africa. Please continue to pray for us as team during this hectic period that God will abundantly bless us and bring lasting fruit from the many events and projects we are taking on. Steve Lee
