Well the summer is almost done! Miracle Street has facilitated events and missions in 17 different towns across the country since May and at one point we were in 5 locations at the same time. As is always the case we have been stretched to breaking point at times but we have been caught up in the exhilarating and, at times, chaotic work of seeing lives transformed with the Gospel of Christ. There are still a number of important dates to come notably the Parklife weekend in Wickford in a couple of week’s time and the annual Light Party in Fair Oak with the Mainstage on October 31st. Jono is leading the teams for both these events. The School Aid project continues to flourish and we are in the advanced stages of planning a two-week programme on the Isle of Wight in early October. Closer to home Kelvin and Holly have run two highly successful projects with the Bus here in Southampton in additional to regular work each week. As of September 1st I have stepped back from most of my responsibilities of church leadership to focus entirely on the work of Miracle Street for this next phase. This will involve expansion in the staff base and growth in the support structure of this great work God has called us to. We are about to carry out a significant refurbishment programme on the Mainstage and the Mobilestage to address important issues of maintenance ahead of the demands that we are beginning to face with the Hope08 initiative next year. To coincide with this we will be launching the ‘10th Anniversary Push’ to raise much needed revenue to pay these bills. Full details and photos on the range of events from the summer will appear in the Autumn Update out at the end of the month. Thank you for all the invisible support in prayer that so many of you have contributed to what has been achieved this summer. We pray constantly for the churches and the people who have been reached that they will find meaningful connection in the Body of Christ. Steve Lee
